Diamond Cutting

The art of diamond cutting dates back to 4th century BCE when the first diamonds were discovered in India, however at the time the technology and knowledge was very limited. Around the 14th and 15th century in Europe, the technique and tools for diamond cutting advanced to allow for more light to enter and increase the brilliance of them. Fast forward to today, the methods of cutting have evolved to bring out the maximum potential of diamonds. Some diamonds with older cuts have the potential to be improved to show better color and clarity, which can increase the value of the diamond drastically. The knowledge and skills of diamond cutting can be learned through certain institutions, but the true skill to improve the aesthetic and value of diamonds comes with decades of experience. As a result, diamond investment and asset development remains  a niche market where only those with the right experience and risk appetite can find success. Our team comes from generations of cutters that have honed their signature techniques to produce some of the most incredible and rare diamonds in the world.
